WHERE launches on MetroPCS

The WHERE application is now live on MetroPCS although no formal news of this has been released yet. With the Buddy Beacon news from the uLocate team, I decided to check their site for more info. When I went to www.where.com, I noticed more news. They have launched their WHERE application on MetroPCS. Dan Gilmartin confirmed the launch and said that they have more carrier launches in the works as well as some exciting news on Buddy Beacon. See http://www.where.com

Boopsie, smart, local search

I just ran into a very cool new local search app called Boopsie. The app supports all major mobile platforms (even S60 3) and offers a great search tool for mobile users. I'm still testing but one cool feature is a mobile gateway to your facebook account.. providing access to all your friends and you can poke them or message them from your mobile.. this is very nice for me since facebook mobile doesn't support t-mobile but this application does. There's loads of other search channels providing fast access to common questions... like what's the score in the game, what's the weather, etc... you can grab teh free download for you r mobile by visiting http://boopsie.com on your mobile browser- all you can eat data is recommended!

YELLOWPAGES.COM Mobile from AT & T (supports iPhone too)

New from AT&T subscribers, another cool local search application. YELLOWPAGES.COM has also created a free, downloadable mobile application for 20 AT&T handsets that makes it easy for consumers to find what they need, when they need it. This enhancement allows consumers to search easily for whatever they want — local restaurants, ATMs, gas stations, airports, etc., and to save their favorite listings and locations for even quicker use in the future. The auto-complete feature makes searches faster. See www.yellowpages.com/mobile and www.apple.com/webapps
