3dtracking now provides their service to users of Symbian smartphones, as well as users of the new range of Nokia phones. 3dtracking has also added a number of new features to their free tracking service, including the ability for users to display a Google Map on their own personal websites that displays their latest tracking position. Today, mBrain Software announces the imminent release of three new editions of Pdf+, the leading PDF reader for Symbian smartphones. Pdf+ Basic offers basic functionality. Users can view all pages, go to any page, search for strings, set the zoom level, full screen and landscape mode and reflow the text. Chinese and Japanese PDF files are fully supported. Email attachments and PDF files downloaded from the Web can be read as well.
Pdf+ Standard offers in addition bookmark support, following of links, opening of websites, sending Emails and dialling phone numbers. Full support for password-protected PDF files is available in this version too.

Boopsie, smart, local search
I just ran into a very cool new local search app called Boopsie. The app supports all major mobile platforms (even S60 3) and offers a great search tool for mobile users. I'm still testing but one cool feature is a mobile gateway to your facebook account.. providing access to all your friends and you can poke them or message them from your mobile.. this is very nice for me since facebook mobile doesn't support t-mobile but this application does. There's loads of other search channels providing fast access to common questions... like what's the score in the game, what's the weather, etc... you can grab teh free download for you r mobile by visiting http://boopsie.com on your mobile browser- all you can eat data is recommended!

Final countdown for Mobile Rules! competition submissions
The business plans stream of the Mobile Rules! competition closes in less than two weeks and entrants are encouraged to submit their business plans by visiting the competition site: www.mobilerules.org.
The Mobile Rules! competition was launched in the summer by Nokia, together with a number of high-profile sponsors. Designed for developers and entrepreneurs working in the mobile space, the competition is divided into two 'tracks'. The first is for entrepreneurs, small businesses, start-ups, academic institutions and individuals and aims to find the most innovative new business models, products and services for the mobile world. The closing date for entries is 16th November 2007.
The second stream, which closes on 25th January, is aimed at qualified developers working on mobile applications for Nokia platforms in four categories: 'multiplayer and connected games', 'multimedia', 'enterprise' and 'infotainment'.
The winners of both streams will be announced at a ceremony in San Jose on 21st March 2008.
