Get Located using PhoneLocator for S60
Phonelocator is a native S60 realtime GPS tracking application for Nokia S60 phones. It allows you to view the location of your phone and a trail of where it has been using this website. Phonelocator has advanced features like "Intelligent Update" that reduces the amount of data sent by the application and "Battery Saver" that turns off the GPS when the phone is stationary or the GPS signal is too weak. Phonelocator can be run in the background and started when your phone is booted. See http://phonelocator.mobi/

Turn your Nokia N95 into a Free Hotspot
Here's another fine mobile tip for you travelers... how would you like to never again have to pay those crazy fees for WiFi that hotels like to slam you with... I'm sorry, but I'm not about to pay a hotel for WiFi if I'm already paying $200+ a night to stay there! Enter JoikuSpot. Simply pout, if you have a smartphone (Symbian OS.. sorry) like an N95, N82 etc... you can grab this free app ( a pro version also exists) and you can turn your device into a hotspot... very simple. no more sniffing for free wifi from lounges and other hotels, coffee shops etc... all you need is your device and a data plan. The app was recently recognized in the Forum nokia innovation series. For more information www.joikuspot.com. Remeber, paying for WiFi is for suckers... much like paying for free GIS data!

Mobile App tips - 12seconds, BlueWhale and myGeolog
I've added several cool, new mobile apps to my device in the past day. Here's some details:
myGeolog mobile (Beta 3) - Another fine mobile social networking application. Features:Mobile application has easier menu navigation and menu response (compared to WAP-based services)
- Low costs for sending multimedia content (e.g. photos are significantly cheaper than MMS)
- Convergence between web and mobile phones for better interaction between members
- Geotagging for all photos, videos, and text-based activities (automatically generated for GPS-enabled phones).
Download myGeolog from http://www.mygeolog.com/ or hit this url from your mobile browser www.mygeolog.com/mobile
Got 12 Seconds? You can record and share 12second updates with just about any mobile phone. Just record your video and email or MMS it to the unique email address given to you and you're good to go. A clever way to crunch and share your video clips. See www.12seconds.tv.
And, for you facebook users, BlueWhale is a fine, new app that provides access to your facebook functionality via mobile. Sure, you can already load facebook mobile or update via sms or shozu, however, this app enables you to do even more including: poke your friends, update status, check your wall, email, and more. http://apps.facebook.com/bluewhalemail/ or see http://bluewhalepress.blogspot.com/

Google Locking Blooggers out of their Blog - thanks Google!
I got a weird email message last night that I first thought was junk, then I realized it was actually legit! Google has some new automated system that is flagging potential spam blogs and locking out owners. I was one of the many unlucky ones with my very popular GISuser AnyGeo blog gisuser.blogspot.com being flagged for some reason and locked! Friggin marvelous move Google.
After searching the web for how to contact the blogger team -- good luck with that one!!! - it seems many others are having the same mis-fortune.
For one, I'm very pi#@#$#@$ed off about this, particularly since I'm off to San Diego for the ESRI UC bnext week and had planned on blogging.. great! So, if anyone from Google happens to read this, maybe contact me (glenn at gisuser.com) and offer up some help or advice. Otherwise, WordPress is sure starting to look good!!
